When should I call City Wide Moving Inc.?

If you need to move today, we might be able to it. If you require a written in-home estimate, you should call us 7 days to 2 weeks before your move. We generally ask you to give us as much notice as possible but there can always be exceptions.

How long does City Wide Moving Inc. need for an in-home estimate?

Usually up to 24 hours.

What are my responsibilities when moving?

  1. Be present during the packing of your belongings, if we are doing the packing.
  2. Take personal responsibility for jewelry and other high value items.
  3. Ensure that no prohibited items are packed.

What can't I pack?

Generally speaking, we will not load any flammable items, cleaning liquids, alcohol, frozen foods, ammunition, and batteries. Anything that can deteriorate should not be shipped. We will make exceptions for some guns. We will need to pack them ourselves. If you have a question about something specific, just call and ask.

What doesn't moving insurance cover?

If you choose to pack your own belongings, City Wide Moving Inc. will not cover any breakage unless there is damage to the box. Please ask City Wide Moving Inc. for a comprehensive list of what insurance covers.

Will you move my car?

We do not transport cars as part of a state to state move. However, we can recommend a local auto transporter.

Can I store my items with City Wide Moving Inc.?

If you are unable to take immediate possession of your home or if you need to store belongings for any other reasons, we will use a local storage faculty. Upon your request we will arrange this all for you.

How long will City Wide Moving Inc. take to pack my goods?

Every home is different but we can normally pack a home in 1-2 days.

Can I leave my clothes in their drawers?

Yes, you can. Just be sure not to leave anything solid that can damage the furniture. Some furniture isn’t strong enough to be moved full. Particle board furniture is an example.

How can I make sure the right boxes get to the right rooms?

Carefully label each box on the sides not the top with its contents and room they are going into. For example, if you have an office shared with a bed room and your new home has a room just used for an office label box office not 3rd bedroom.
